Imagine how much this would do for the local and even state economy. You need look no further than Derby in Tasmania to see how beneficial MTB trails can be to local economies. Economy aside, it provides a fun and healthy alternative to people of all ages.

This project is an opportunity to build on the current 12km of mountain bike trails in the Mornington Peninsula/Arthurs Seat area. This will improve trail connectivity and expand the existing network, helping to meet the increasing demand as mountain bike riders are now the most prolific users of Arthurs Seat State Park. The new trails will cater for all riders, ranging from families and recreational riders to more experienced, technical mountain bike riders, with a variety of trail grade options (beginner, intermediate and advanced) in accordance with the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) standards.
Mountain bike riding is a great way to connect family and friends, experience the natural environment, whilst improving physical and mental health. It is an outdoor, year-round activity that can be enjoyed alone or in a group, by children and families, women and men, recreational riders and elite competitors. The expansion of the trail network will provide opportunities for increased participation, whilst reducing trail congestion and improve the user experience. It will also reduce the risk of illegal and unsafe trails within the park, contributing to environmental sustainability. This meets with Parks Victoria's philosophy of Healthy Parks, Healthy People.

lets get red hill on the map for massive sport
With more and more riders heading to the peninsula every week this development would enhance the riding experience for all and make the trail network more sustainable
This would be good as.
Definitely the most worthwhile thing you could money towards, Pick this one!
This would be amazing!
100% worth the approval!
Defiantly get this approved, this would be great not only for the MTB community but the peninsula itself
Fantastic Project! The proposed new trails are an essential addition to the existing trails network. They will allow more riders of mixed abilities to enjoy the Mornington Peninsula area.
Let’s get Redhill on the charts
Extra trails who isnt going to vote for that
GREAT IDEA FOLKS - GOOD LUCK
Keep up the great work.
It would be good to see more blue/black trails connect with the gondola area
C’mon MP shire, back this project it ticks every box fun, fitness, revenue for local businesses, outdoor activity, catch up to other municipalities who are cashing in on a booming sport.
I always love going for a ride down at red hill and exploring the local area whilst I'm there . An excellent addition to the area!
Essential addition to a busy trail network, great for local business and the community.
the best place, for all rideers and families
Great area - Always like to make a full day trip down there , Not just the great tails, plenty of other things to do
Love this idea and Mountain Biking is becoming such a great sport
The proposed 4 trails from green to black are an essential improvement on a growing trail network that will be well serviced by the Eagle uplift service. Well done Red Hill Riders mtbc - get on board and join the best club in Victoria!
Mtb expansion. Is the best recreational and health money that can be spent . Community benefits are incalculable.
It's a no brainer, more trails means more people will visit.
More trails = more fun and as the MTB community is rapidly growing it will also bring more riders to the area so local shops will benefit as well..
so it’s a BIG YES from me for more awesome trails to go in at Red Hill
Everyone in my families uses these trails with a range of ages from 6 to 40's. New trails will benefit everyone in the community.
If we can get tracks developed to world standard, the world champs could be held in the region and how good would that be for the peninsula economy.

Red Hill is already so known to Victorian and melbournian riders, with the new lift access and potential new trails it could be great, plus it is easy access from the city unlike most good mtb destinations
