Submit your application

Complete all sections of the online application form and submit your project idea by 8 July 2018.

Our assessment team is reviewing all submitted project ideas and checking these against the guidelines to determine their eligibility by:

  1. Conducting an initial assessment of your budget
  2. Contacting your partner organisation and landholder (where required) to discuss your project and determine their support
  3. Confirming guardian consent if you're aged 16 or 17

Our assessment team will contact you if they have any questions or need more information about your project idea.

Make sure you to find out when voting opens.

Voting is quick and simple, and open until 5pm, Monday 17 September:

  1. Register for a Pick My Project account. If you already have an account, simply sign in.
  2. Select your local community by entering your suburb or address. You can then browse the project ideas in your local community and create a shortlist of your favourites.
  3. Pick your three favourite project ideas from your shortlist and verify your mobile number. You’ll then be able to submit your votes.

Make sure you share who you’ve voted for with your family and friends.

You can also visit us at an upcoming event.

We’re now checking project votes received during the public voting period, which opened 9am, 13 August and closed 5pm, 17 September 2018. To vote in Pick My Project, voters needed to be a Victorian resident aged 16 and over.

Once checks are complete, we'll announce the project ideas that received the most public votes within their partnership region. Register for updates to be notified when successful projects are announced.

Congratulations to the 237 successful project ideas who will share in $30m in Pick My Project funding.

Funding was split equally between metro and regional Victoria, with each of the six metro and nine regional partnership areas receiving a minimum of $1m. Funding within each partnership area was then allocated by population. To ensure a range of small and large communities had the opportunity to be part of Pick My Project, no more than 50 per cent of a partnership area’s funding could go to one Local Government Area.

The successful projects have developed project plans and signed funding agreements with the Victorian Government. They're now working to deliver their projects across the state, making their local communities even better places to live! Projects will complete at various times over the coming months, up until June 2020.
