This place gives Hope and help for so many people both in the community surrounding it and those who attend the church. To extend this building will only further extend the ability of Wecare to support, assist and encourage all who step foot through the doors.
So the church needs help to extend and have more room to do such a wonderful community service.

For over 30 years Faith Christian Church has operated a care arm “We Care Community Services Inc.” (WCCS) in the South Eastern Corridor of Melbourne. The basic idea was to collect and distribute, free of charge, clothing and basic foods for needy people. This has been immensely successful, thousands of people provided aid and encouragement through this charity. WCCS operates in a shed in Dandenong North, which is too small. We would like to enlarge it to enable growth. Our two vehicles are kept in a fenced compound beside the shed. It is constantly interfered with by intruders and damaged.
Having a larger shed will enable the expansion of our ability to provide free food and clothing for the needy. We would also like to pursue other avenues of service such as offering English and budgeting classes. Twice a year we hold ‘Helping Hand Days’ in which the needy in the community are invited to take what they need for their families, in Winter we focus on blankets and warm clothing.In December we focus on summer clothes and toys for children. Our volunteers are available on Mondays and Fridays to help community members referred to by Local Councils/Welfare Officers/families/friends.

Such an amazing organisation that has helped thousands of peoples lives over the years. I have also seen first hand the impact on lives that just by giving people food, clothes or toys can do. The smile on a young kids face when they get a Christmas or Birthday present all because of someone's generosity is priceless or the tears of joy when someone receives a food hamper after being made redundant. It's all about helping bring together and galvanising the community. This is a great project that will bring further help to the wider community that is needed.

I have seen first hand the unbelievable amount of people WeCare have assisted through their handout drives. Year after year, giving everything away free of charge to those less fortunate...worthy, worthy cause for sure.
