This would be such a beneficial part of the school for all children especially those with sensory processing issues.

A sensory garden will be therapeutic for our students who suffer from sensory problems. It will be a place for students with autism and other sensory processing disorders to feel safe and comfortable in exploring their senses without feeling overwhelmed by them. Sensory gardens also encourage mental development, health improvements, emotional growth and social integration, in addition to increasing the learning motivation of students.
We hope to engage artists, gardeners and trades people to support in establishing a sensory garden for our students with additional needs and a sustainable vegetable garden for our very popular breakfast club. The gardens will be instrumental in strengthening the connections between home, school and wider community. The establishment of the gardens will be a community affair, forging lifelong partnerships with our parent and local community. They will strengthen our STEM program and support students to make real life connections with our sustainability program. We will be able to host sustainability workshops for members of our local/school community.

Would benefit the entire school community but is an essential tool for those in need of a sensory outlet 👍
