Currently our older students do not have any play equipment to access at school. They are limited to a basketball court, small oval or general open space. They are too big for the junior play equipment and desire to have a 'Ninja Warrior' type of course that they can challenge themselves and each other on, build their coordination and strength, while also engaging in fun play! Our teachers (PE teacher in particular) would also be able to use this as a fun warm-up activity for sport lessons. It would also be great for team building exercises.

Currently our school's play equipment only caters for junior aged students. This leaves our students in year five and six without inspirational outdoor activity while at school. Old equipment had to be removed a year ago due to it being unsafe and non-compliant with safety standards for children. The area where the senior playground is desired to be located is at the back of the school bordering Ballam Park athletics area and the local football club. We could work with these clubs to negotiate opening up the back gates for families to use on weekends as well.

Playground is a basic thing to have at school. So children can explore and learn and burn their energy:).

It's all about being a child and getting outside and playing. No playground at school is like a school with no Principal. It just doesn't happen! The kids will have fun and create memories for years!

As a local to Ballam Park Primary School with our kids attending both the Ballam Park Kinder and now Ballam Park Primary, I have experienced first hand the benefits that this school brings to the decent nature of our community and surrounding areas.

I myself volunteer a great deal of time to our local community as a coach in various sports and believe that an outdoor playground will encourage positive social education, a healthy outdoor lifestyle promoting exercise, along with the irreplaceable smiles as our youth play as children in a fun safe environment.

We have been without an outdoor senior playground for some time leaving the space very bare and unused. McClelland Secondary School, next door is fast becoming a preferred choice of secondary schools in the area with many 'out of zone' families trying to get into year 7 at this point in time, and yet we have a stepping stone like Ballam Park Primary struggling to be able to gain support and funding for an outdoor playground. To the local Frankston City Council, community and surrounding Peninsula based families using the running track and 'second to none' Ballam Park, what a great sight it would be to view the promotion of our kid's outdoor health and education with a Ballam Park Primary playground in plain view, rather than a vast wasteland as it is now.

Bring back the creative outdoor fun and help treat these young stars of our community to an outdoor playground to further stimulate their brilliant minds!

Ballam Park is a fantastic little school, but with limited funds for projects such as this! What a fantastic idea for the children attending at present, and in the future years to come.

Ballam Park PS children desperately need more play equipment to support their physical and social development. They have been missing out for too long due to limited funds.

This kind of play is so important for a child's development and would help with energy and behaviour levels too.

Definitely support this cause! It’s such a beautiful school surrounded by nature and parklands. A proper playground for them would be a fantastic addition to BPPS.

I have a third child starting at Ballam in the next couple of years and it would be nice to know that they are going to have somewhere to play with their friends in the future.

The whole school will benefit from new play equipment. A year is too long without it.

Its been one year since the old playground equipment was pulled down. The students deserve a replacement, some fun and adventure.
