Fabulous location for children from many local schools, to play and train ... My Children have participated here and now my Grandchildren ... nothing much has happened to the court in that time .. it would be a great asset to the entire community to see it upgraded!

We have a tired old basketball court that is in desperate need for a makeover. It facilitates use from 500+ people every week, including the Avengers Basketball Club, which is growing rapidly in numbers as it is the key local basketball club in Seaford. The court cannot continue to sustain the use it gets on a weekly basis. The proposed facility upgrade would include the following:
• Prepare old asphalt and surface levelled.
• New asphalt overlay, drainage installed.
• Resurface court with acrylic top coat, including lines.
• Install fixed roof structure.
While the Avengers use the school facilities, they are not formally part of the school; they are a model grassroots sports club, servicing the wider community. The club has increased from 3 to 12 teams in 4 years, providing access to basketball for more than 90 local children, from 9 different schools.
A new covered basketball court will allow uninterrupted scheduling of team practice sessions, basketball games and workshops. The court will be open and accessible to the local community on a regular basis. The Avengers expect that with an improved facility, their team numbers will continue to grow.

This is a great location for basketball players and safe.
It's a fantastic project!
It's an amazing project for the children within the local community
Would be able to be utilised by children and adults of all ages, all sports- a great and much needed asset to help support the local community
Much needed project for a great community.
Hugely needed for the school kids!
It will stop my kids coming home with gravel rash after slipping on the old current courts!!
What a great oppertunity here to enable and encourage people of all ages , sex and fitness abilities into sport!! 😃
Would be a great asset to the community and the school.
A fantastic community project.
Sports is important for children and promotes staying active, team work and fun. In need of a make over at St Anne's to support the growing interest in sports.
Basketball is extremely popular with both boys and girls and all level of skills can play. There is a huge drive for fitness in children and this will benefit many. The upgrade is urgently required for the sake of our children and their wellbeing as well as their safety when training.
Both the school and surrounding community would really benefit from this project
This upgrade is definately required. The children have no where to practice in winter on the school premisis as it is bitumen and becomes very slippery and dangerous. It will also allow more children to get involved with the school and their peers if they are able to practice at the school given parents working commitments, might make things a little easier.
An upgrade is definitely needed and would benefit the children not only from Seaford but also those than travel from neighboring suburbs to play for a great club.
Much needed for the local community

Good luck, hope you win. Sport for young people is a great thing, keeps them safe, occupied and learning to be part of a team.
