The play space located at the front of the school is an increasingly popular area for basketball games and sports from tennis, netball, volleyball, hockey, two square and line tiggy both during and after school. It has overtime become very root affected and dangerous with an increasing number of falls happening. We would love to give this play space an facelift to make it a safer place for children to continue their love of outdoor play. With our community being so diverse it is a hive of activity and children from all cultures and background play together.
Being at the front of the school and accessible at all hours this play zone is constantly used both during school hours and after school. We have a very multicultural community and around 42% of our students are English as a second language or Government funded children, as defined by the department of education this makes us a vulnerable community. Playing sports together, language is no barrier and this play space is a wonderful place where children integrate and build friendships and confidence through inclusion and sports.

Renewal of these courts in this location connects and strengthens an extremely diverse community around a common purpose of recreation, coming together and well being. A sorely needed project that needs priority funding.

A court as this can be multi-purposed also, as a badminton court, volleyball court, Netball court with simple multi line approach. The nearest court of similar size accessible to the community is about 5 to 7 KM away. Really need focus to improve infra in this school.
