The play space located at the front of the school is an increasingly popular area for basketball games and sports from tennis, netball, volleyball, hockey, two square and line tiggy both during and after school. It has overtime become very root affected and dangerous with an increasing number of falls happening. We would love to give this play space an facelift to make it a safer place for children to continue their love of outdoor play. With our community being so diverse it is a hive of activity and children from all cultures and background play together.
Being at the front of the school and accessible at all hours this play zone is constantly used both during school hours and after school. We have a very multicultural community and around 42% of our students are English as a second language or Government funded children, as defined by the department of education this makes us a vulnerable community. Playing sports together, language is no barrier and this play space is a wonderful place where children integrate and build friendships and confidence through inclusion and sports.

As Kerrimuir PS is a small school there are limited play areas, the basketball courts being one of the main outdoor spaces for kids to play. This is a much needed initiative and would be an amazing improvement to the school facilities. It will be well used!!
Great school. Great location. Sports facilities need a definite upgrade.
Great project. Would be ace for the kids and the school.
Very Good project to improve sports activity
Great project for our community!
Does Kerrimuir P.S. need upgraded facilities..............yes .........................Should this be approved for funding.............absolutely.
Good Luck!
It is definitely a well deserved upgrade for the school, I only hope that the upgrade will be more creative to show the local culture and arts.
Kerrimuir primary school is fantastic school, the teachers are caring and is serious in their work as an educator. The basketball court is a very important area as that is where all the students gathered every morning for assembly. It is definitely a worthwhile upgrade for the school and community
Great project. The school really needs this.
Fingers crossed a very well deserving local school and fabulous community that also use the space. Let's hope that common sense prevails and this turns into a good news story for our community wanting this so desperately!
Is a great community of people at school or local, well deserving to have access to money for upgrades.
Good luck for KPS...
The basketball courts at Kerrimuir Primary are in desperate need of an upgrade. Fingers crossed others agree!
It's such a popular play space... & in such need of repair!
Great initiative!
This is a much needed upgrade for the kids in our community!! And so many kids play basketball!
Seems like a small investment (monetary value) for great impact, please let this happen!!
Even on weekends there are kids using this area. It’s so important that they have a safe space they can be.
We talk about keeping the kids active but the local schools have to fight to have a usable basketball court.
Hope everyone is on board with this one. Really needed.
This is desperately needed for our school and community.
However I'm disgusted that our schools have to compete for funding via popular vote - our children deserve better than this!
The local Kids need this!
The kids really need it to be upgraded!

This would be a great support to the local community as well as the children at that school
