Multi-purpose cinema facilities at the Apollo Bay Community Centre.

This project will install a professional cinema setup including retractable cinema screen, audio system, digital projector, sound control, and wifi. It will also deliver air-conditioning, new seating, tables and storage facilities to enable multi-purpose use for conferencing, meetings, education and music events. All of the community will have access to these much needed facilities as it will enable Apollo Bay to have its own film society, support its thriving arts and festival scene, be a venue for events, hold large meetings and training and be a place for people to stay safe, cool and occupied on days of high fire

Apollo Bay's Community Centre is an untapped community resource requiring a lot of love to restore it as an asset to the region. It is the only hall in the township suitable for medium sized community events with a capacity of 100 seats and 2 smaller meeting rooms. The Apollo Bay area is home to passionate creatives, activists, educators and communities, who thrive with access to the kind of facilities larger towns take for granted.

The Christmas Day bush fires and increased high fire danger days means that we need a location for relief for those living out of town.
