I love the mosaic bird! Need that in the garden in front of our building! Can’t wait to see the changes!

Made especially for our township, the local community will be invited to share ideas and participate in selecting artworks that they feel work best in each location. Possibilities include large-scale street art, trails of miniature artworks, playful gathering spaces and collaborative pavement art. Providing a significant contribution to the process of renewal and revitalisation of our precinct, artists will create works that take into account our concerns, needs and aspirations. A mix of both commissioned pieces and works created in collaboration with the community will become part of our streetscape, accessible for visitors and residents to enjoy.
Mooroolbark has enormous potential and a large, active community. However, its infrastructure has suffered from neglect, vandalism, a lack of resources and investment. This project will increase business, strengthen our local economy, actualise the potential of existing assets and infrastructure, foster a sense of wellbeing, pride of place, identity and belonging. It will provide opportunities to connect and care for each other, create a more vibrant, beautiful and active community hub. Benefiting local residents, shopkeepers, visitors and commuters, let’s get together and plan, design and create something new and exciting in our hometown!

Glad you like it!
Well, if we receive enough votes then we'll definitely be seeing the changes soon, but if we don't.... :-/
Is this a residential or commercial building that you are speaking about? Always good to know where people would like to see some of the collection.
Mooroolbark street scape would be much improved with legal street art and showcase some of our a great street artists
Thanks, TerryJA!
Looks like a wonderful project to add colour and interest to the streets.
Thanks, Angmac!
The benefits of street art to a community are well documented from creating a positive and bright community environment to underpinning interest in a town as an proactive and viable economic option for new business. Its good for all, galvanising both community and business and when this happens - communities thrive!
Thanks, Russ63!
I have lived in Mooroolbark 4 times. It's a busy place and people still chat in the street. I love the convenience of the shops, services and transport and the setting of the Brice Avenue area but what is missing is colour and an invitation to enter...something that says..."Welcome, you are going to love it here and you won't want to go". This project will be a beginning of a new chapter and maybe new friends!
Wow, thanks so much for your support. We love all of those things about Mooroolbark too and hope so much that we can get this project through, to make it an even better place! :)
Please vote for this great initiative for Mooroolbark. It would be great to have some wonderful artwork and colour to brighten our town. Good luck, Mooroolbark
Thanks so much, Patrizia!

I have worked in Mooroolbark for over 13 years, thanks to the Traders Association the town has improved so much during this time. It would be fabulous to see more artwork in our community. This is an exciting project and I hope the Traders Association are successful in their bid. Good luck!
Thanks, Sue!
