Gippsland has an amazing live music scene, diverse in its music styles for all ages. Live at Spectrum has been incredibly effective in promoting our many artists and their music. LAS supports artists and venues, adding to the vibrancy of this sector of the arts.

It is totally volunteer-based, run on a shoestring budget from season to season. It desperately deserves some funding support from Pick My Project.

One of the best initiatives in Gippsland.

As someone that's been involved in the local music industry since birth, I can attest to the power that a show such as Live at Spectrum holds. With less and less opportunity to see music performed live in regional areas, and with increasing challenges teachers face when it comes to inspiring young people to learn music, a show such as this helps to ensure that we will continue to value the quality musicians we have amongst us, and inspire and motivate a continued stream of new ones.

Regional areas are fertile grounds for farming, but often barren areas for culture - predominantly due to limited opportunity, not lack of talent or drive. Gippsland has a wealth of hidden arts talent that needs platforms such as this to help equal the playing field and ensure that young artists from country areas are given no-less opportunities to thrive than their metropolitan counterparts.

I often wonder how much of a difference this show could have made for me and my aspirations to be a great musician, had it been around 20 years ago.

Art and music are one of the things human society values the most when looking back throughout history. Ignoring the arts in the way society currently does is ignoring what we as a society ultimately value most about the human condition.

Live at Spectrum is such an integral platform for music and community in Gippsland. We need to keep professional platforms strong that allow Artists of all ages/genres to showcase their ORIGINAL music.

A fantastic opportunity for our local musicians to get their talent out there. We need more peple to supprt Live at Spectrum.

LAS gives performers the ability to reach a wider audience thanks to the internet.
As a showcase event, it is certainly valuable and worth supporting.

This monthly 'Live at Spectrum' show run by volunteers is streamed all over the world. It has given an opportunity for Gippsland musicians to perform on a larger medium. The show is in need of an injection of funds to update equipment and I support this entirely!

Live at Spectrum has become a very important component of the cultural life of our region. Innovative with high production values Live at Spectrum is fantastic at its chosen role of supporting & developing local talent.
