Lights at the Goroke Courts will give us the opportunity to run more coaching sessions, netball training and week night social tennis and netball competitions. Week night competitions will allow us to build on our recent success in increasing participation for all ages and gives our community an alternative to Saturday sport. Our current active playing members in tennis range from 3-76 years of age. Everyone in the community will have access to the lights including locals and visitors to Goroke with the courts located centrally in town next to the caravan park.

Having the ability to run tennis and netball competitions provides an opportunity to bring our community together, allowing players and supporters to come together and socialise. Currently, some locals are travelling over an hour to simply exercise as Goroke has limited facilities and access to do this. Our competitions will provide physical and mental benefits to people. Running week night competitions is a great alternative for those that are unavailable to play weekend sports. We also hope to bring people from surrounding towns to come in and play in our social competitions which will also support our local businesses.

Well needed project to provide the community with a place to come together, keep active and promote health. This would make it possible to engage people of all ages and backgrounds particularly working adults who can play sport in the evenings
