The Mentone & St Bedes Amateur Football Club has sports lighting for training purposes and wishes to increase the LUX to enable it to play a mixture of Junior and and Women's matches on Friday and Saturday nights.

This lighting improvement would also increase participation and allow us to field more teams over the various age groups, from Under 8's through to Under 19's and Women's teams.

Our proposal would allow each age group from Under 8's - Under 18's to enjoy one night per season plus a few Women's matches "Under Lights" and encourage members to support more teams.

By offering a game on Friday and Saturday nights we believe it will encourage local residents and club sponsors, particularly local businesses who are busy during the day to drop in and support the club which will generate additional fundraising through our canteen.

Fantastic community club, brilliant initiative!

Get (and keep) the kids active, engaged in sport, the community and most importantly ...away from Fortnite.

This is a great opportunity for the club to expand its already ever expanding junior teams along with the expansion of girls and womens football. Without the ability to have a 3rd oval it will provide flexibility to host Friday and Saturday night games, it a much needed project not only for the football club but the broader local community.

This project is so very important to assist the youth in Kingston to maintain their connection with a sporting club.
Playing and / or being part of a sporting club is incredibly beneficial for mental health. This is a win / win for the community .
Please vote for sporting infrastructure projects such as Mentone & St Bedes Amateur Football Club's Night the Light Project, Cheltenham Junior Football Club's project for lights on their second oval and Mentone Girls Secondary College project for an all weather running track
