BVV Inc. is a non-profit ethnically diverse organisation dedicated to operating as a teaching and training center, public library and a meditation center.
A language / Dhamma school are conducted every Sunday during Victorian school terms; curriculum covers in teaching Sinhala as a LOTE subject and Buddhism to encourage study, promote and practice peace and harmony among all living beings. BVV organises cultural events to introduce culture and heritage to the wider community.
Completion of the project will provide a well maintained temple premises without having mud, dirt / dust with dedicated parking spaces for elderly and disabled passengers, too.
The temple is the only existing occupant in Alira Estate Development project, Berwick. Once the BVV area is developed with open spaces, green areas and vehicle parking, it will become an appropriate community centre and a library for an ethnically diverse wider community.
It will give a peaceful, pleasing to eye appearance to people attending programmes at BVV, people passing by and also people living in the area.
BVV conducts two monthly meditation programmes for elderly and children.
The meditators can use the finished surface for mindfulness walking meditation sessions.
Children will perform outdoor cultural programmes without much inconvenience.

BVV community has been around for many years it has never failed to spread the love, kindness and empathy around the community. with the current developments happening around the temple premises. It is vital to have a proper car park and will benefit more than 400 children and their parents also the locals who attends the BVV premises weekly for the Language school and meditation programmes held around the year. I hope the funds would be approved for such a valuable project .

This is very essential project to complete. Lack of proper car park and landscaping are badly effect to the functional activities as well as normal activities in the temple specially under the bad weather condition. This is very important project to the community and BVV.

BVV needs a proper car park in order to access the temple in an orderly and safe manner. A new car park would definitely enhance safe accessibility to the temple for children and adults alike who would willingly participate in activities done in BVV. I must say this is the one facility much needed to the BVV.
