The project aims to remove the existing asbestos roofing and corroded windows with new cement sheeting, colourbond roofing and new windows.
The Indented Head Community Hall provides a important meeting place for locals and visitors to the Northern Bellarine. The facility additionally hosts the Indented Head Boat Club and the Indented Head Progress Association, as well as many community and social events. This facility is the only public building available in Indented Head for the community to meet and utilise.

The condition of the asbestos is requiring annual inspections and requires removal in the short term. Recladding the building will ensure the buildings lifespan is extended and the continued access for the community is maintained.

This iconic recreational hall is in very much in need for some care and attention so it can be used by the surrounding communities as well as our own here at Indented Head. The main request is for the safe removal of the asbestos so the hall can be used to its full potential.

I would like this project to come in to fruition, I walk past there daily and practice Pilates inside this beautiful hall. The outside does not do it justice and is in very much need of repair for the roof and guttering.

I live permanently in this beautiful part of the world and enjoy attending activities in this gorgeous hall. Asbestos is a major concern and needs safe removal as soon as possible to preserve a wonderful community asset.

It’s important to get the aspestos removed. Families are in the vicinity of the centre daily and it poses a health risk.

It is crucial for the asbestos roof to be replaced, this is a safety risk. The hall is a great community space and deserves to be updated and made safe.

This is a growing community with a need for community space for a full range of daily activities for all ages and a big effort went into renovation the inside and yet the external roofing is full of asbestos and unsightly for all local Beach walkers, sail clubs, next to the building and people who go to meetings and recreation to the hall. It’s well and truly past it’s use bey date and should have been updated a decade ago. Take a walk or drive and see first hand the poor condition of the roof!

Whilst l am happy to endorse the Indented Head Community Hall project via the pick my project it should be a given that this work in undertaken as soon as possible. Asbestos is a serious health risk and the community hall is used by the public and it should be removed.
