The project aims to remove the existing asbestos roofing and corroded windows with new cement sheeting, colourbond roofing and new windows.
The Indented Head Community Hall provides a important meeting place for locals and visitors to the Northern Bellarine. The facility additionally hosts the Indented Head Boat Club and the Indented Head Progress Association, as well as many community and social events. This facility is the only public building available in Indented Head for the community to meet and utilise.

The condition of the asbestos is requiring annual inspections and requires removal in the short term. Recladding the building will ensure the buildings lifespan is extended and the continued access for the community is maintained.

The Roof and gutters are falling into disrepair and for health reasons alone they should be replaced.

Can't happen soon enough. A great community space being under utilised due to its condition.

This would add aesthetic value to the area as well as removing dangerous asbestos from public. It is an OHS issue and a necessity.

I agree with all comments so far, this is an urgent one to deliver.

This project should be done as a matter of urgency. The Hall is a great community asset and is now being used quite often. Take away the issue now as further deterioration will cause bigger issues and more cost down the track.

This shouldn't be up for debate. Fix this and fix it now! Public safety and health matters first and foremost.

Asbestos kills.

This should not be subject to a 'pick my project' lottery but should simply be done as a matter of public safety. Many people - babies, toddlers, children - access this area in the very busy holiday periods making this project a necessity, not an option.

Not only can there be health repercussions from asbestos but the community can suffer economic and reputational damage from a known contaminant continuing to exist in this seaside location.

This project is well overdue and will address a serious public health issue associated with the deteriorating asbestos roofing on the existing structure.

Well worth doing - this could be a great building for the local community to use and cherish

The removal and replacement of the Indented Head Community Hall's asbestos roof and external walls should have been done years ago, as the community has been appealing for funding from Bellarine Bayside for a long time. With a small population, and relying on this voting system, we hope that the grant will succeed, but if not, then Bellarine Bayside should allocate the money made from the 3 camping reserves in Indented Head. One occupied for six months.
