YES! What a great idea. The school grounds are very well used, not only by the large school community, but also by members of the broader community, especially after hours and on weekends. There are very few places I know in the area where kids with physical disabilities can play, so this welcoming and safe playground will be a much-needed resource for those kids and their friends. Hope you win!

The all abilities playground will create a shaded, contoured, sensory space with a variety of surfaces, connected by a wheelchair accessible path, inviting a range of activities for all abilities and ages for local and visiting children including running, rolling, climbing, jumping - to connect and engage.
This exemplar playground will recognise broader community needs, allowing children who can’t access other playgrounds to have a play area to enjoy and is open to all who would like to use it, including a local church and language school that use the site, because the school has an open gate policy.
Over 1,000,000 Victorians live with disability. Creating accessible inclusive spaces aligns with the Victorian Government’s Absolutely Everyone: State Disability Action Plan 2017-2020 and City of Yarra’s Inclusion For All Strategy, while supporting Victoria’s transition to NDIS and celebrating children of all abilities.
CHPS passionately supports children with disabilities (National Disability Award for Excellence in Improving Educational Outcomes 2012 recipient). The proposed site is degraded, underutilised and inaccessible to wheelchairs. With limited options locally and scarce inner city space, we're collaborating with council, local community and disability experts to refine plans, maximising accessible play-space for all children to connect and engage.

This is an amazing project and gift that will keep on giving not only to all our current CHPS children but for all future generations - this is what its all about !!
What a fabulous project. I'm very proud to be part of the school community.
How wonderful to provide a space for CHPS students and children in the broader community to have a play space they can enjoy! Increasingly we see students who are unable to access play spaces that other students enjoy.
We all need a green active space to play, this all abilities playground has my vote.
Great addition to the area, it has my vote!
A playground to entice children of differing abilities to have fun, be active and enjoy the fresh air would make many feel welcome.
Wonderful to see such an initiative by this well-respected school with a long-standing history of serving the community. Many will benefit from this project!
This would be fabulous for the whole school and broader community. We’d love to see this playground built!
It is excellent for public education in Victoria to have outstanding institutions such as Clifton Hill Primary School as a showcase of what the public system can achieve. Refurbishment of this yard will promote that aim.
What a well needed asset this would be to both the school community and the Clifton Hill community as a whole.
This is a wonderful initiative for the whole school community
