Absolutely crazy that there’s even a need to VOTE for this. This is a sport that’s proven great growth over the last 5yrs and yet receives next to no funding.
This is a health and safety priority!!!

Monterey Secondary College is set to become a centre of excellence in sports and health science. Provision for a NRL sports Academy is a part of the centre of excellence. The Frankston Raiders have their home base at Monterey Secondary College and many of the players will be future Sports Academy students.
The Frankston Raiders is one of, if not the fastest growing club on the Mornington Peninsula with around 200 members in just its third year.
With the current rate of growth and the increased need for training an oval without flood lighting has become inadequate to accommodate training.
This project will enable the Frankston Raiders club to continue to flourish with the flood lighting enabling all of the club players to access adequate after hours training time particularly during the competition months in winter.
The capacity to use the playing space after hours also opens up a plethora of opportunities for all manner of after-hours training options, coaching clinics and night exhibition matches.
Healthy active kids with close connections to each other and positive role models is a powerful outcome of sporting clubs and a flood lighting capability will ensure that more kids can get involved.

Necessity. Only good can come out of this.
The Frankston Raiders is a fantastic local sporting club. Please support them by giving them a grant for lighting to enable them to continue to encourage and inspire young people to play Rugby i.n a safe environment.
Sport keeps community together and this rugby club deserves this funding for lighting to further succeed, they have come along way already but desperately need funding to succeed more,
Will be awesome to have lights at training and will also help our club with future growth :-)
If you build it they will come. So build it!
I have been associated with the Frankston Raiders Rugby Legue Club since 2015 as a number 1 supporter. In 2016 my son began his journey as a Rugby League Player at the age of 5 playing for the Under 6s. Since then our club has grown progressively and to this date we have players ranging from 5 years old, to Senior Level. Our main priority are the Safety of our Players/Coaches/Supporters (every person) whom is at the training sessions each night and in saying that we are in desperate need of lighting for our club to MOST IMPORTANTLY, help PREVENT AVOIDABLE INJURIES. As a parent I want my child to be safe and that goes for each and every player with in the club!
I’ve watched some training sessions for the juniors and the club is desperately in need of lighting for the safety of players and the staff.
The raiders are a fantastic club that is all about families and the community. They've grown so much over the last 3years with very little help from anywhere. Lights are essential to the safety and commitment that all the kids, volunteers and families give. Please help!!!
We need lighting to make it safe for all our Raiders train safe!! Let the light shine on our club!!
The Frankston raider rugby league team need the light for the safety of the players and staff.
Also it will improve the skills for each player at the Frankston raiders rugby League club for the future years to come. Think of the children..
My brother and nephew plays. And they need lights for training. Honest its a safety reason and we live in australia. If 3rd world country can get lights. Than im sure the pines can find money to put lights in for the safety of our aussies
I know of people who are involved in the Frankston Raiders and I have never seen so much commitment to a club! Lights would not only make it safer for all those training but will help this amazing club continue to grow as it has been for the past 3 years! They've smashed the last 3 years in the dark, imagine what they're capable of with these well deserved flood lights! Lets get behind the Raiders and show some support!
My young grandson plays in the U6 team of Frankston Raiders and he loves it. I would like to think he and his team mates were safer with good lighting at the ground.
I am part of the Frankston senior men's reserve team we have made semi finals without lights and training in the dark which is very unsafe and dangerous so if there was lights there would be no limit to what our senior men's can do... and that is also some with our kids so please get behind us and watch the Rugby League with in Frankston bro remarkably
The raiders deserve to have these lights installed for the safety of the players and staff
My son who is 7yrs old started his first year of rugby league with Frankston raiders and absolutely loves it. Every Tuesday and Thursday's Training starts at 5pm and by 5.30pm it is almost pitch black leaving it very dangerous for our kids and also the mens team who train at 6.30pm in no light. Please help make it safe and vote for lights!
The kids deserve this, they love their team and it’s growing fast. Don’t leave us in the dark!!
