The Domeney Reserve, Park Orchards facility does not provide space, facilities or equipment suitable to be used for dinners & social functions that are sought by the local community and sporting clubs including:- - Park Orchards Football Netball Club - Park Orchards North Ringwood Parish Junior Football Club (combined referred to as the "Sharks") - Park Orchards Cricket Club The Sharks are the largest Australian Rules football club in Manningham City Council and also the local area with a combined 2,000 players & members. The project proposed is to expand on the social space area at Domeney Reserve.

The community of Park Orchards is a thriving hub of schools (2 primary schools) and community involvement in recreation & sport with large basketball, netball and football clubs for juniors & seniors. With a country feel the community engages in both sport and local community events.
There is a distinct lack of community facilities and areas available to hold functions. Facilities previously available are no longer so, or not suitable. Such as:-
- Park Orchards Chalet was sold off to private enterprise to develop as an aged care facility.
- Other rooms at Domeney are not suited for social functions.

Domeney Reserve is a hub for hundreds of local sporting & community families & the facilities require upgrading to cater for all the community groups who occupy the space.

Hundreds of families rely on Domeney Reserve for boys, girls, men’s and women’s sports year-round yet the facilities are far from adequate. I hope the community’s calls for an upgrade are finally heard through this initiative.

With so many junior, senior and girls teams using this facility it is well over due to increase the space to suit the demand.

This development is desperately needed. Change rooms are too small, players are urinating while others walk past, no storage space for the local clubs to use, and upgraded to allow female facilities. All the local clubs that use this facility are growing especially the senior and junior football clubs.

This project is desperately needed. The club has grown enormously and with the introduction of a women's team next year the expansion is essential. Well done to all involved in initiating this project.

This expansion is vital to ensure continual community engagement and participation. Without the expansion, all parties involved are at risk of loosing participants which in turn will reduce the money brought into this small community town. Better facilities = more recruits = more income into local community (eg. restaurants, milk bar, bottle shop)!

I think this is a vitally important project which needs to be completed as a priority. This must be completed for the football club to survive. Without the updated facilities players will move elsewhere. Please make this a priority.

Domeney Reserve facility is not fit for purpose particularly with the introduction of women teams. This vibrant sporting community would greatly benefit from such a terrific project. Congratulation to those seeking to improve and expand the venue to accommodate the growing number of sporting participants.

The football club caters to all ages and genders. It currently can't handle the number of people who use this ground both for sport and community events. With more space and better facilities, it will create even more reasons for this venue to attract community interest and use.

The project will impact 100s of men and women, across all ages in an extremely positive way.
Multiple clubs who have given a lot to the community and continue to do so in an incredible manner. A much needed expansion to improve the space provided to many people.

The facility has remained unchanged for decades and has not kept up with the demands placed on it from all the sporting uses and volume of people. This is long overdue and will make a big difference to a lot of users. Being the main community asset in the immediate area it is a real hub so needs to be brought up to modern standards.

The sporting clubs that reside at the facility have been brilliantly run and as a result the usage of Domeney Reserve has requires upgrading and appropriate development. This project will benefit an enormous number of people in the local community and is long overdue. Congratulations to those who continue to push for its development.

I think it essential that the progress of this much needed and much wanted facility be made a priority at a local government level as a matter of urgency. The junior sports clubs , senior sports clubs and community wants demand it from a stand point that this growth will continue, yet the facilities are already far from satisfactory.

With the advent of ladies football coming to Park Orchards Football Club you would think this long standing no brainer will get up for funding. The current facilities are substandard for a football club that won 3 premierships on one day in 2017 to elevate itself over a short period of years from 4th Division to 3rd Division to 2nd Division Eadtern Football League level.
Theres a fantastic opportunity to grow the existing facility to a reasonable standard of shared community sporting facilities that brings the wider Manningham and surrounding community together.
The spirit of the club is
"all in" the question to council is are you with us?
Yes or No
