The building has been used for > 65 years as a central community youth hub and activity space, as well as supporting the wider community by offering various education, meeting and training spaces, sports facilities and a versatile hall space used by dance, yoga, and recreational sports groups. To offer all community members with different mobility needs improved access to the facility, we require to undertake significant building modification, facility upgrade and refurbishment. Currently, the building and bathroom facilities are not accessible and therefore exclude differently able individuals. To improve inclusion and diversity this community space requires upgrades.
Upgrading and improving the building will enable a more diverse community to access the facilities offered, creating a more inclusive and supportive community that meets the needs of diverse local groups and individuals. Creating opportunity for inclusion is essential for strong positive community relationships. Improving this building will create more spaces for inclusion to occur, where young people of different abilities can feel welcome, cared for and supported.

This building and the programs that have been held With in it have helped shape the social conscience of our three daughters and countless young people, Behind them, and alongside them. It is a marvelous center and gathering spot that has brought together Youth from varying backgrounds. So much potential to continue… Would greatly benefit from a renovation. I believe the Youth and entire community greatly benefit from these programs.

I was involved with Hashy for over 10 years 40years ago. It helped me have a positive Jewish identity, feel better generally about being in the world and have a desire to make a positive difference.
I now come along to the Hashomer Hall for community events and can see how much a renovation is needed to make the place more accessible and functional.

This space is such an important community meeting place and event location. It needs a lot of TLC to provide the best facilities to the community and ensure that everyone's needs are met. Hashomer Hatzair is a fantastic community organisation that deserves all our support!!
