This will create a social gathering space for the community and visitors. For those with limited mobility, the deck will provide easy and safe access to the outdoor space. The deck will be of benefit to those attending Anzac Day and Remembrance Day services
The building is located at the top of the main street and with the addition of the deck, it will be of benefit to the overall appearance of the town centre. We hope this will encourage tourists to stop and enjoy what Cockatoo has to offer and not just drive through. Offering a general meeting place for the community and improved awareness of the RSL

This is an excellent idea. A lot of talk at the moment of scientific evidence of the mental health benefits of being outdoors. These are important issues for a venue that supports return service men and women.

This is a project the whole community will benefit from, the RSL is a great place for locals to socialize and observe the RSL traditions. The increased number of the younger generation that are now visiting will have more space to socialize.

This project is years overdue. The current committee have worked tirelessly to make this happen. Our local RSL is a community hub for our town and an outdoor decking area would enhance the site immensely.
