Autism Carer Connect Events will be free for female carers with children with autism. Spectrum journeys will create four beautiful, embracing and empowering high tea and pamper afternoons for carers where they can come, relax, enjoy meeting other carers and connect with those who share similar parenting experiences. The high tea events will include all catering, a mini manicure by beauty therapists and a mini 'blessing bag' to empower carers to start or continue valuing self care.
Carers are incredible, resilient and capable people and often face increased stress levels as they care for their child on the autism spectrum. Carers are tasked with navigating new funding and therapy packages, managing complex behaviours, advocating for inclusion, attending therapy and school meetings to support their child. Carer stress is on the rise and our events seek to provide an afternoon of joy, connection with others and opportunities to embrace self care.
