Autism Carers Connect Events with Spectrum Journeys completes project
Autism Carers Connect Events with Spectrum Journeys completed its project in December 2019.
The project created free high tea and pamper afternoons for female carers of children with autism. The events included catering, a mini manicure by beauty therapists and a 'blessing bag' to empower carers to start or continue valuing self-care. The events allowed carers a much-deserved break and the opportunity to connect with other parents of children with autism. Many parents have continued their relationships and arranged opportunities for their children to build social connections with each other.
