"Zest" by Sprung Circus

To create and present a pop-up circus through a series of 10-minute vignettes that would be performed both inside and outside at several regional festivals. These performances would indulge, surprise, bring wonder, reflection, and immediacy to the festival landscape. "Zest" could support other events at the closure and opening of main attractions as well as present small shows in the streets and gardens. Live music would tangle with the circus to create an immersive experience.

The project would showcase our local talent, provide a voice for young people at regional festivals and inspire young people from across the region to be involved in the arts. The performances would be developed through a year-long program including a creative development phase, intensive training to improve circus skills, development of vignettes and music scores, rehearsals and performance of final pieces.
