This project will implement a weekly youth program designed to grow and develop skills that build resilience and leadership, and develop a network of community connections through local skill-based workshops. The project aims to enhance and outwork a depth of understanding around what a healthy community is and how young people have an important role. It will provide opportunities for them to be supported in contributing back to the wider community‘s enhancement through implementing youth-led projects. This proposed project is activity-based and designed to challenge, grow and build connections in young people while developing skills, responsibility, resilience and leadership.

This much needed and dynamic project will benefit the local community by building stronger healthy community connections for our young people. This project will enhance the health and well-being of young people in the community by providing a weekly opportunity to meet and grow together in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. Youth will develop enhanced life skills, build resilience and grow their connectedness to the community. The project will reduce vulnerable young people's risk of isolation, depression, self-harm and negative risk-taking behaviours. The local community will benefit from healthier, well-connected young people who are contributing in a positive manner.

Hi Elaine, Do you know about the Field Trip? It sounds a lot like what you are proposing, and already exists in Daylesford. I just came across this proposal, as I was trying to vote for the Daylesford Primary Robotics and Field Trip Little Houses project.

Yes, I do know about the feild trip they run a fabulous program and would want to support them, this is a bit different and would provide further options and opportunities for our young people.
