We are a pilot site in the Wimmera Southern Mallee Regional Partnership Early Years Trial.

Our families are asking for a point of contact to help navigate the Early years.

This role would:
- Support access to local health and education services eg playgroup, kinder, allied health
- Work with practitioners to support/promote programs
- Provide support for community playgroups
- Promote reading and language activities within our communities eg reading at immunisations
- Coordinate/promote events for children and families
- Create an online network
- Maintain pop up libraries within our communities
- Coordinate/Promote local Professional Development Sessions

A child’s earliest years, from birth to five years of age, are crucial. Significant research shows that this stage of learning and development matters more than any other.

Currently 25% of children in our communities are demonstrating vulnerability in two or more domains in the Australian Early Development Census.

By helping create community connections and providing support we can help give families the confidence to create a nurturing and literacy rich home learning environment. Providing simple experiences such as talking, drawing, rhyming, singing and reading help pave the way for a lifetime of achievement.

We want to help empower parents.
