Yarrawonga - Victoria Park Community Sport Facility Development

Once complete the project will provide two female friendly change facilities together with public all ability toilet and shower. These facilities will provide for a variety of user groups including the Yarrawonga and District Netball Association, Yarrawonga Junior Soccer Club, Yarrawonga Football Netball Club, the Yarrawonga Mulwala Cricket Club and the broader schools and community.

Female friendly change facilities will assist with creating a more inviting environment for all user groups resulting in increased participation. The current facilities at Victoria Park which include 6 netball courts, 4 soccer pitches and two AFL / Cricket Ovals will be utilized more often.

Constructed by the community in the 1980’s the pavilion is primarily used as a social club with no change facilities available. As described in the photograph users currently get changed either outside or within an open aired shed, with a significant increase in female participation across AFL, Soccer, Cricket & Netball change facilities servicing all participants and officials are urgently required.

Change facilities at Victoria Park will help activate the facilities with all year use of by a variety of sporting clubs & schools whilst also attracting a host of regional sporting events.
