Wyndham Harmony Van

Harmony Van will take its positive messages of intercultural harmony and acceptance to the heart of Melbourne's southwest. With support from the Wyndham Community Centre and the local council, the van will visit selected public spaces and venues, where multicultural volunteers will hand out promotional materials and attract passers-by with games, barbecues and videos; giving them an opportunity to share their personal stories. Visitors will be asked to film short messages about their own experiences, creating a lasting harmony message-board on the Facebook page.

Our solution is a simple but profound one – to invite wyndham residents to share positive stories about their lives, integration and achievements, and create a lasting digital platform for change. The AV-equipped van will be decorated in orange to match other Harmony Day celebrations, and will also travel to local festivals and events celebrating.
