Our vision to be the change we want to see in the world to begin with the World Food Village Cafe. Through this simple concept, we can bring together members of the school and wider communities to share food and ideas, laugh, play, work and create on a regular basis. The cafe would also strive to create an environment of inter-generational, multicultural stories and skills sharing. As a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden school, we are located in an area easily accessible to the community, we have strong foundations and partnerships on which to develop this vision, but simply need funding.

The underlying purpose of the project is to build social inclusion, connectedness and resilience within all members of our local community, through the inviting atmosphere of a family friendly café and garden.
Through the sharing of food, the café can facilitate dialogue with diverse community groups and offer support around issues such as cyber safety and social isolation; while also providing a space for artistic endeavours, adult learning, homework clubs, and parenting groups.
As we learn, play, create and grow together, building on the strengths in our community, we can become the change we want to see in the world.

This cafe would take the Stephanie Alexander Kichen Garden project to a whole new exciting level and encourage community engagement with the school.

I want EVERYONE to have a welcome to this project which will, in FRIENDLY way give us knowledge about good food, and where we can learn skills about growing food in our particular soil and climate condititions..
