The festival is held at Balnarring Beach bringing together the diverse community. Proposed program: entertainment by First Peoples/cultural activities/children's area/well being area/market stalls.The program is developed by the community with Boon Wurrung Elder,N'Arweet Carolyn Briggs' guidance.The festival is free.
Lead up events will include presentations by First Peoples sharing their stories, language and cultures.
The shelter will provide a protected space for the festival and community groups who use the area all year round (church youth groups, disability groups, schools, pre-schools, families, elderly) There will be seating and universal access.

Womin Djeka Balnarring Ngargee is designed to promote cross-cultural awareness/bringing community together in a vibrant, family-friendly outdoor event celebrating First Peoples' cultures and connecting community to the ancient history of the land.
The festival exposes the community to cultures developing connections/relationships with the local Aboriginal groups/peoples.
The festival is a continuation of the education the children are receiving and they are sharing it with their families creating inter-generational learning opportunities.
The festival demonstrates the community's role in and importance of reconciliation.
The shelter will provide a space within a natural environment where people can relax/gather strengthening the community .
