Woady Yaloak Recreation Facility verandah awning extension

Extend the current awning by approximately 4m, along the entire length of the existing verandah. As seen in the picture there is very little shelter provided by the existing awning. The football netball club and other public users have little protection from rain & wind. In summer, cricketers and other public users have no shade due to the angle of the sun onto such a small awning. During events in the multi-purpose room, there is limited area to "spill outside". This will be accessible to all members of the community and improve the safety and usability of the facility.

Shelter & protection from the elements ensures that the environment where families & individuals relax and compete is more enjoyable, but also safer. Shelter makes the environment more inclusive so that all people, including those with younger children, older people, or people with limited abilities can still enjoy the atmosphere of local activities & sports with some level of comfort & protection
