Westside Circus - Outdoor Aerial Rig

Westside Circus is a unique not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to creating transformative programs for young Victorians aged 3-25. These programs equip participants with important skills for everyday life.

We want to add a portable aerial rig to our workshop equipment, and a van to transport it, to provide a broader range of fun activities for the youth we visit.

Since 1996 we have visited thousands of young people around Victoria developing their capacity by providing values-based workshops that actively increase physical literacy, cultural awareness and creative engagement.

Last year we traveled 25,000kms to reach 3000 individuals and provide 15,000 workshop experiences.

Adding an aerial rig to our traveling workshop package will enable all youth we meet an opportunity to experience the thrill of aerial circus, not just those who are able to come to us.

Research shows building self-belief and general physical fitness is an alternative path to successful social outcomes. Aerial circus offers youth a unique opportunity to experience success and feel pride where they may not experience it within their social and family settings.

Participants of all ages and abilities, including disengaged, marginalised and at-risk youth, can overcome vulnerabilities, learn about positive risk-taking, and build trust through shared experiences.
