The current netball courts at Alexandra Park have non-compliant issues. These issues have been raised by Netball Victoria and the club is seeking funds to replace the current netball courts with courts that met all Netball Victoria guidelines. 16 netball teams - 8 junior and 8 senior teams - participate on match days, including teams officials, scorers and club officials, there will be over 250 people participating in each home game. The courts will also be used for training purpose during the week and provide opportunity for players to use in their own time if they require to do so.
Successful outcomes of building new netball courts at Alexandra Park will not only benefit Westerns FNC, but the wider Southwest Football Netball League. New courts will assist in increased participation of netballers across the region. The courts will be available for public use outside training and playing days, they will also allow Westerns FNC to pursue NetSetGo, which is an entry program for girls and boys aged 5 to 10 to learn how to play netball, keep active and have fun. The state of the current courts unless rectified will have a detrimental effect on the future of Westerns FNC.

This is a must. Netball Vic will only allow exemptions to the size of the run offs for a certain time and then say, you have had a fair time to do it and now we cannot continue. This is a reasonable and worthwhile project.

Great club full of loyal supporters and players, unfortunately they have been left behind with facilities compared to others in and in surrounding leagues.

The non compliant courts create many issues for its users including safety which is of great concerns. This is a great club that wishes to be able to supply a great and safe venue for all.
