West Heidelberg Community - Our Upgrade for our Future

Over the last 40 years only emergency/critical repairs have been undertaken to the St.PiusX hall.

The female and male toilets are inadequate to current needs. These will be given a greatly needed renovation.

The kitchen is used by most community groups, (minimum 38) and it will be renovated including storage.

The original carpet is very stained and lifting. This will be replaced.

The florescent lighting is both inefficient and expensive. LED lights will be used for energy and cost savings.

Storage spaces will be upgraded and extended.

Everything will be freshly painted.

Present and future communities will benefit tremendously.

For 40 years, the St PiusX Hall has become a pivotal hub of activities for the Olympic Village/West Heidelberg Communities.

Recognized as one of the most disadvantaged communities in Melbourne, they face many hardships, and for many, coming to activities and programs are a highlight in their week/lives.

These activities have fostered healthy relationships for many. With a renovation, I believe even more people and community groups will participate in the diverse programs.

From playgroups to aged care, from art to martial arts, and from community dinners to private functions, this will be a well loved and deserving renovation.
