Welcome cultures through Arts

"Welcome Cultures through Arts" is a programme to enhance social inclusion and to build cohesive society through arts.
This project offers fun, creative high quality and a safe space to learn about culture through arts. This project focuses on three core components :
1) "Melodyful" is a workshop to learn Traditional Arts - To learn traditional percussion instruments from different cultures such as : Paray, Djembe, Bongo, Rabab and Dhol
2) "Let's Tango" is a cross cultural experiential learning space, and
3) "Welcome Gathering" is to share a meal and learn traditional arts

Project assists the learners with the following:
1. Learn different traditional arts to connect with their cultural roots
2. Explore and share the historical and cultural significance to create social awareness
3. Promote cultural identity
4. Rhythm, harmony and melody for the emotional and physical wellbeing
5. "Welcome Gathering" is to give an opportunity to meet and greet new migrant and refugee background families and individuals to share their stories including arts and culture. This will build their self confidence and make them feel welcome
