As men age there is a real and significant risk of an increase in social isolation. Increasing social isolation results in negative health outcomes for those men, both physical and psychological. This is a problem for our community, as it is for others, and the establishment of a Men’s Shed is a health initiative that takes a positive step towards addressing this problem. A Men's Shed is a community based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation that is accessible to all men over 18 and whose primary activity enable men to connect with each other in a safe and friendly environment.
The project will benefit the community through improved health outcomes, both mental and physical, for men in our community.

Yaaaaay! Men need it and therefore women need it too. It helps men, young and old network, share skills and interests, socialise - without the women in their lives having to act as the "social secretary." Very empowering and enjoyable for all!
