The WCTL aims to become one of a small number of All Abilities Toy Libraries in Australia. This would involve expanding the range of toys currently available to include sensory processing, social, gross and fine motor skills toys and therapy tools which could be borrowed as needed by members of our local community with a Toy Library membership. Also included is a refurbishment of current shelving and the building of a shed to create additional storage solutions. These toys and tools may then be borrowed for a period of 2 weeks, with online renewal available to extend borrowing times.

This project will enable all children in our community to have access to stimulating play and developmental equipment regardless of special needs or different abilities. It will mean everyone can access quality toys, as well as being able to trial sensory and/or therapy aids with their children at home without financial strain. This facilitates follow up from aids used at school, suggestions by health professionals or simple curiosity to see what works best for their child. Borrowing is also available to a range of other users such as health professionals, early years educators, schools, playgroups and the wider community.
