Restore the roof of the community gym and at the same time install water tanks at it's southern side that can then use this expanse of space to capture water. The gym is available to all Yarram & District residents and by having it fully operational in winter it will enable year round physical activity to occur in the area. It is the largest indoor space within the district and therefore it's long term uses are endless. The roof has had numerous repairs but it is at the stage that it needs replacing.

Currently the gymis unable to be utilised during some of the winter months due to large roof leaks. This has meant at times the cancellation of winter basketball (238 members ) and mixed netball (60 members) and non access for the students (285) when it rains. Installation of a new roof will not only restore previous usage but also attract new patronage. At the same time it is proposed to install two water tanks at the southern end of the building to support the school agricultural program.

This gymnasium has had this leak in the roof for a number of years now, with students first noticing the leak was present in early 2015, at our school, we would much rather this fixed sooner rather than later, and before a person, student, teacher or community member possibly injures themselves due to this, as there are a number of leaks in this roof.

This is a very worthwhile project. This facility is used not only by the school, and a range of community groups, it is a great space to promote fitness and health during the winter months.
