The Wallan Future Hub is the place we need to create the future we want! Our community has already demonstrated its extraordinary generosity, taking care of our own through groups like Love in Action. Let's do more! Through a partnership between Love in Action, Rivers and Ranges Community Leadership, Centre for Continuing Education and Wallan Secondary College, Wallan Future Hub will connect local people with: - emergency relief and practical help, including storage for donated goods - pathways to education, training, employment and enterprise - community leadership projects - mentoring, work experience and volunteering opportunities, particularly for Wallan's young people.
Wallan is growing rapidly. There are some big challenges ahead. We know some people are doing it tough, but we've already shown we're a community that cares. Over 2,000 people have joined, donated or received emergency relief and practical help through Love in Action in under two years.
Wallan Future Hub will enable us to collect, store and distribute more goods for more people, as well as connecting people to their future pathways, whether that's learning a skill, gaining work experience, accessing support services or finding a job. Together, we'll show how any community can positively shape its own future.
