The Alfresco area adjacent to the Stratford RSL Hall would contain a gas grillex double BBQ with switches on both sides allowing cooking on both. A roofed percola with seating, concrete pathways for easy wheelchair access for disabled persons and landscaping. Access will be for ADF veterans and families as well as community people who belong to other community organisations who currently use the RSL for meetings but would like to have social functions as well. Activities would be Anzac and Remembrance day activities and veteran dinners, family days, christmas dinners and other social events as required.

The local community consists of many various organisations as well as the RSL membership who use the RSL Hall for meetings and small functions. We have been continually requested to give better acces for more functions by these people. The alfresco area would give them an area to have social outings in the exterior area for family outings with more people than what the hall can cater for. This would also assist with elderly, lonely and desperate people collectively able to gain assistance for health and well-being issues through the welfare officer of the RSL.

A much needed project for our small community. To be able to socialise, have a chat and talk problems through in your local area without having to go to the larger towns

It is important to remember those who have gone before us, but it is very important to look after those that are still with us. We must provide mate-ship, friendship, a place to sit talk and listen. this is a much needed extension to the current facilities, a great project.
