'Where I’m Standing – My South East Gippsland'
THREE 13th & 14th July 2019-
Venus Bay Short Film Festival - a weekend of film culture. Including four film programs; a masterclass workshop. Two events featuring local produce- a screenplay reading and a special film guest hosted lunch. At the Festival’s heart will be the South East Gippsland Films - Where I’m Standing program.

The South East Gippsland region is vast and complex. The portability of film can connect our diverse communities to each other. Film is not bound by age, physicality or language. Nor is it defined by style- it could be a comedy, a drama, a musical or arthouse. Film as a versatile mode of expression offers each individual the freedom to create their own unique impression. Winter in this area can be long, cold and isolating. The Venus Bay Film Festival will have positive ripple effects for local business and also be an enriching experience which nutures ongoing creative inspiration.

A film festival that brings people together in a wonderous coastal setting to enjoy and share the imagination of films; encourages creativity and teaches skills that perhaps will marry into a short film the artistry of local surfing - what's not to love!
