Upgrade playground equipment at our school.

The school currently has no playground equipment that is designed for upper body development. Also, the students have had the same playground equipment for over ten years now and some of the equipment as shown in the photo is now outdated. Before we remove some of this old equipment, it would be nice to have something new installed first so that there is still enough equipment for all of the students to play on at lunch. We plan to install a set of monkey bars and a flying fox. We know the students will love having these to play on.

Eildon township only has a little playground equipment for children to play on. Consequently, we at the school shoulder much of the responsibility to provide playground equipment that provides for imaginative play, muscle development, development of risk management skills, independence and confidence. The students from the Eildon Kindergarten and the Eildon Playgroup also utilise the equipment. Every year, students from the other seven primary schools in the Murrindindi Shire travel to Eildon Primary School for the District Cross Country. Our playground sees these children from the different small schools making friends while playing on our equipment.
