It is proposed to replace the existing wall mounted air conditioners with one more advanced and efficient reverse-cycle air conditioner of 252 kW for the soccer stadium and a smaller unit of 84kW for the function hall. The Club is a non-profit community social organisation whose funding comes from member fees and donations, some government funding. With limited funds, the building was built with light construction materials and has poor insulation. The Club’s funding is mainly spent on the essential items like electricity, building maintenance, staffing. There is usually no funding left for heating.

The Melbourne Croatia Soccer Club (MCSC) is more than just a soccer club. It's a non-for-profit organisation supporting the multicultural society of Melbourne. Its facility is utilised by various community groups from the western suburbs.
The MCSC facility isn't just limited to supporting local football clubs. It also plays host to a diverse range of events: - Concerts - high profile bands from Croatia perform at the facility all year round. - International Supercross - the Australasian SuperX Championships have been previously held at Knights Stadium. The elderly members need an air conditioned/heated area to watch soccer games in winter.
