The Korumburra & District Agricultural & Pastoral Society Inc who own the Showgrounds, have agreed to demolish Sanders Pavilion to create space for a second netball court for the Korumburra Football & Netball Club. The showgrounds will relocate a new pavilion to an area freed-up from a Skate Park transfer to the Community Hub at the Railway precinct this year. The Basketball Club are in desperate need of a third pavilion - it's the peak basketball club in South Gippsland - and has direct access to this new stadium. Basketball youth often have to play at 10pm at night.

The Football club have this year joined the West Gippsland Football District and demand for another court is high. The old Sanders Pavilion is aged and does not meet basketball parameters, however the site is adjacent to the existing netball court.
The Skate park has shire funding for removal from the showgrounds to the community hub precinct on railway land.
The new pavilion would be across the road from the Basketball Club, which accommodates two stadiums and a Cricket Academy in the old army drill hall. These are located across the road from the showgrounds on Charles St.
