The creative and culturally diverse community hub supports multi-generational connectivity, a place to be physically active, learn, share knowledge, be creative and support one another.

A garden will be a key activity that will provide a place for people of all ages to learn about growing, harvesting, and preparing cost effective meals in the new kitchen.

In addition, the establishment of a "messy space" will enable creative interactions and social networking opportunities for people of all ages and cultures. eg. School holiday programs, arts and crafts. The hub will also be a place to exercise or relax.

A service gap is identified by the community through a township survey. Historically, Tallangatta Neighbourhood House has provided a venue for program delivery (2088 people attended in 2017). However, the community require a new space, a creative space that supports greater diversity and programming; gardening, cooking, creative arts and social enterprise.

A creative garden and "messy" space is a community, Council and Neighbourhood House priority.

This project meets demonstrated community needs and provides greater opportunities for life-long learning and connectivity. It also supports healthy living, higher consumption of fresh produce, reduces social isolation and encourages diversity.
