Warrnambool is a growing city and a desired destination for people who would like to find a better life or life style. It has been like that for centuries...arriving by ship, railway or plane.
It is hard to leave your hometown or even a place that was just familiar due to a job. Either way...change is difficult...whether chosen or forced upon you. Anyone who feels welcome has a positive attitude from the get-go and will want to be part of the community - desires acceptance. It creates a pay-it-forward mentality that embraces in a kind way.
Any new citizen who chooses to move to Warrnambool (or close by locations) be it renting, buying, building or starting a business would learn about the heritage of the city and its people, the original owners of our land, where to find schools and jobs and pretty much how people “tick”. Vice versa the local community will be enriched by diversity....lately the street food event has been a great success.
Together we can make the city even more interesting and inclusive. We avoid “strangers” in our midst and learn from each other. It creates a win/win.
