The Tutoring Hub

The Tutoring Hub project involves the conversion of an existing space into multipurpose training rooms, along with the purchase of basic computer equipment so that educational support services can be provided to people in Manningham who are facing necessitous circumstances. The conversion will create a dedicated learning environment where tutoring and life skills courses can be offered to people of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

A primary benefit of The Tutoring Hub will be the provision of a mixed use space for classes and programs that promote learning and healthy lifestyle. In particular, this space will enable the extension of the already existing Manningham Foodbank Program which addresses food insecurity and social isolation. Additional services would be expanded to include: tutoring for students, parenting seminars, nutrition classes, and budgeting programs. Such services would build the confidence and capabilities of participants and equip them to move beyond their current life challenges. The space would also be made available for hire for use by other community groups.
