After running a successful food and community festival for 10 years, we want to continue for another 10 (and another and another), but our environmental impact must reduce and at the same time we must work to educate the community and our many visitors that going green is a necessity for everyone's future.
Key activities include: promoting healthy living for the whole region; encouraging waste free living especially dining; eext generation education, including hands-on workshops; land and sustainability community projects; healthy waterways alternative living; recycled art projects; leading the way for all events in the region.
Encourages health and wellbeing of our community members by promoting alternative ways of getting to the festival e.g. walking, riding and the bus provided. Education on many levels, in partnership with the shire and the hospital to schools; free public workshops, online, large scale at the festival. Sustainable festival inspiring other events to do the same throughout our region; a good feeling for everyone involved, community connection; up-skilling the festival team, as well as other events and local organisations; tourism - we will gain more attention for doing our part; economic growth, attracting different visitors with our green philosophy.
