The whole community will be invited to a series of events to discuss how we can create a more equal future for Mallee women and men.
We’ll look at how inequality has negative effects on our personal relationships, contributes to family violence and impacts mental health.
From a riverfront walk, to a blokes pub chat, a multicultural women’s dinner, local schools roadshow and a local women leaders panel, the conversation will be held in all kinds of spaces.
Help us lead the way in regional Victoria and show that country communities care about an equal future.
The Mallee region is a thriving and diverse multicultural community. However, it has one of Victoria's highest rates of family violence.
This series of events is the first step in talking about how gender inequality directly contributes to that, as well as how it affects our wider community and personal relationships.
By having these conversations we have the power to be the change makers!
United, we can make the future better for our Mallee boys and girls.
Superhero sized changes start with small steps.
So let's decide together what we can do to achieve an equal future based on respect.
