The Hastings Gift A Premier Athletic Event

As a family fun day sporting event, the intent of the Hastings Gift is twofold. One is to create an event which will bring large numbers of visitors to the Western Port region. Secondly to broaden awareness of professional running which is cemented in Australia’s history. By staging a professional premier athletic event we will give the public the opportunity to see some of the best runners in Australia competing for the honour of being the inaugural Hastings Gift winner. As a fundraiser, local clubs will be given the opportunity to sell food and soft drink during the event

The day is designed to support and give back to the community as either a spectator or by becoming actively involved. The event will attract around 500 athletes and their families, some coming from interstate.
Local sporting clubs and emergency service groups will have the chance to profit from the event through either assisting on the day or competing for prize money.
All support of the day would give this exciting new event in the community a chance to grow and become an annual event on the local calendar and offer some much needed fundraising for the community.
